Turkey's represent the Give-away in some American Indians' belief systems.

With that said, it seems somewhat perfect that I saw them yesterday and am now prepared to 'give away' a little secret that Garrett and I have.
It just so happens that the 9th of February has put forth many changes for us in the near future. I am thinking that these are only the beginning .:-) YES! FINALLY!

So, here it is...

Garrett and I are applying for the Amazing Race, season 15. We have to send our video and application package out Thursday. We are recording tomorrow. We just heard that there will be a season 15 yesterday and we are so excited. We will definitely keep you all posted to what transpires. We should hear back by early March if we have made it to the semi-finalist interviews.

Garrett and I both want to thank our friend Ari Burden for going out and buying a video camera and for making this whole deal happen. She has truly been our inspiration and the driving force behind our decision to apply for the Amazing Race. Thank you Ari! We love you. XO

With that, this means that we had to commit to being close to a major city. We decided that out of the 10 that they listed, we would rather be close to Seattle verses Dallas. That is right, we are planning to be back in the NW by mid-March. :-) YAY!!!

So, it may seems a little crazy that we are quitting our jobs and putting it all on the line but we just know that we are going to make it. In the meantime, we have been actively applying for jobs in the Western states. We have a strong feeling that we are going to be starting new jobs in the near future anyways (which I am sooo ready for).

We are sending in our second round of applications to the Sun Ranch Lodge in MT on Friday. This is the ranch that is in the Madison Valley, near Ennis, Garrett's favorite place in all of Montana. It is a 27,000 acre eco-ranch that is about an hour from West Yellowstone. Outstanding! We have also been corresponding with a gal in Northern CA, outside of Tahoe, about her 250 acre hunting ranch. Who knows where we will end up in another few months.

My last day at the Vineyard is the 1st of March and Garrett's last day will be shortly there after. Once back in Oregon, we plan to travel around to visit family and friends, before we leave on our next adventure. I know that we won't have a hard time finding some temporary work and keeping ourselves busy. I just love how quickly things change. :-)

With that said, don't be surprised if our course changes a bit more in the next month or so. There are just so many options that are presenting themselves to us. :-)

Oh, I wanted to let you all know that we are going to be using Garrett's dad's address as our temporary residence until we know our next destination. Now, before any of you get worried(Mom) that we won't be spending equal time with all of you, I want to say that we will. :-) This will just be a great base to get some temporary work and travel from. We also plan to get over to Bend for a few days, to MP, and to visit Glide as well. We will do our best, but we also have to meet our obligations and take care of our kiddos.

Thanks to Randy and Tracy for letting us do this. :-) We hope that it is OK. It is just so great to have our house with us. :-)

We are also each going to apply to a position in Australia to be a travel writer for the Australian tourism industry. It is a long story but it would start this summer and would pay $100K in a 5 month time period. Sweet! Well, I better get off of here and get to filling out some applications.

All that we can ask is for lots of loving thoughts and good energy to help us reach our goals! Garrett and I can't wait to travel on somebody else's dime and WIN! We are going to be able to get the most amazing ranch ever!!!!

Love, Love and have a great week! XOXOXO~HB & GG
