We may have only been on the edge of the hill country but we did get to see some of its rare and sought after wildlife.
The first photo is of the endangered stripped deer? maybe Horse? probably Zorse? Nope, I actually think it IS a Zebra. :-) Yep, down here in TX, there is a lot of trophy hunting parks and exotics and these are a few unsuspecting targets. Good Luck Fellas!
The next photo displays the ferocious red squirrel, a distant relative of the gray bushy tailed squirrel. This one was spotted eating a small coyote in the Enchanted Rock State Natural area. *Disclaimer, "they are harmless critters"
Our third picture is of the climbing Roy. Yep, he is truly one of a kind and we love him dearly. He can leap into a tree in a single bound. The beauty, the grace, OH, we are talking about Roy, not his handler. :-)A special friend of Heather's
decided to show itself towards the end of our hike on Turkey day, and it was no Gobble, Gobble. Nope, a scalely friend coming out to warm up a bit. I know the feeling, I love to come out and warm up, just like our lizard friend here. He even dropped and gave us a set of 20! Lizards love to show off and do push-ups. I know, I know, he is actually trying to please the ladies...
Finally, what you have been waiting for. The extremely daring and desperate for a Florence football sweatshirt...drum roll#@%&, HeatHer. :-)That's right! I was really hoping that the sweatshirt that I was bravely rescuing from traffic was a Florence High School athletic sweatshirt. Much to my disappointment, it was a sweatshirt that was torn and from some bar in Harker Heights. Drats!!!
And for our finale...A bewildered and confused husband. Not sure about what has just happened, Garrett displays his best confused look. What a handsome man, even when he is in a state of utter disarray. Thanks for playing.. An Enchanted Rock State Natural area report is underway. :-) Love and joy ~~~HB
