Twas 2 nights before Christmas and all through our camp...

Not a critter was stirring, not even an Armadillo?

And the stockings were hung on the trailer with care, in hopes that St. Nick soon would be there....

That's right! Roy and I wrote letters to Santa to let him know that we have traveled south for the winter. I think that he found out because we have been getting random things at our P.O. Box. :-) Thanks to everyone that has been sending cards, gifts and love to us. Garrett and I have all of the pics, cards, and letters hung around our home. We love feeling so close to all of you during the holidays.:-)

I am hoping that you guys enjoy our new pics. We had a great time on our anniversary and a good time at the Robert Earl Keen concert on Sat. We go into Helotes(San Antonio) around 630pm and made it over to Floores Country Store by 7pm. We watched an opening band and then got to see the headliner. We had a few hours to kill between arriving and the show starting so we had a tailgate party with Roy. It was the highlight of the evening.

The second best thing, especially for Garrett, was laying in bed and on the floor while watching Sports center. :-) Garrett and I both miss floor space. My favorite things about staying at the hotel on Sat. was getting to shower with no flip-flops on and using as much hot water as I possibly could handle without completely pruning up. It was incredible.

On our anniversary, yes, a whole year of being happily married, we toured around the Hill Country some more. First we drove through the cowboy capital of Texas, Bandera. Next, it was Kerrville, where Garrett's grandma Archien lived for a time. We took a little detour out of Johnson City to Pedernales Falls State Park, where Roy went for a swim. It really was a great little getaway for us. We finished our evening with a wonderful dinner and some great wine back at the ranch.

So now here we are, just a few days before Christmas and my birthday. We have more plans to hike and ride and run and play outside during our 3 days off. We are suppose to have days in the upper 60's and low 70's, which are welcome after a high of about 38 on Monday. Thank goodness that we aren't in Oregon right now. Brrrrrr!

So to all of you guys out there, we wish you a very Merry Christmas. :-) I will be writing again soon, probably just after my b-day! I love and miss you. And don't worry, Garrett always takes great care of the boys and me... XOXOXOX~~~HB & GG
