Finally... The Thanksgiving weekend Re-captured!!!

This is us! This is the best time in OUR lives... Really! We are figuring so many things out for ourselves and our life together.

I am THANKFUL for all of you loving people out there who are reading this and supporting Garrett and me. :-)

This is the holiday season and this is the time to show our love and tell others how we feel. :-) Thanks so much!!! Much love to you and yours.. DREAM BIG!!!

Alright, let's get down to the nitty gritty! Garrett killed a rattlesnake! It was a pretty massive one and it was in the horse camp where we live. It was in between a rock and a hard place( a cedar tree). :-)

Anyhow, it was apparently a threat to the people and horses at the horse camp and we were instructed to dispose of it for safety sake. We are happy to say that we gave it to some campers who used it for nourishment and kept the skin. I am sure that the snake would have wanted that too! (well, maybe??)

I think that the snake encounter was around 7pm, just before dinner on Thanksgiving day. We had been home for a while when it was brought to our attention.

OK, let us backtrack a bit... So there we were... on the road and headed home after a great day at Enchanted Rock. We drove through some great towns in the Hill Country, one of which is the infamous, Luckenbach, Texas. :-) It was pretty neat to drive through the sleepy town that Waylon and Willie and the boys put on the map. There was all sorts of excitement going on.

We saw longhorn steers, covered wagons being pulled by mules and chili cook-offs underway at the local dance hall/town square. Fun stuff!!

It seems that I always have a great deal to share with all of you and I still have some more pictures that I will post from our hiking trip. Garrett loves to climb rocks and wanted to do a progressive photo opportunity. Enjoy!!

As for the rest of life and work and day in day out stuff... Things are great. I am getting more and more comfortable in my work and in the progression of my place at the vineyard. I am so excited about what the future holds for me there and in our new space.

Garrett is getting into his job a bit more and I think that he will be running the place in no time!
